cos_sel is a program for extending selections sets in cosmos (geostar). Its use is as follows: In geostar activate listlog ("listlog,1,listfilename.lis"), and list the items desired: ptlist, crlist, rglist, nlist, elist, etc. Turn off listlog ("listlog,0"). Then run cos_sel on the file (or files - accepts standard dos wildcard characters - *,?. (>cos_sel.exe *.lis) New .geo script files with the same basename of each listing file will be created that contains commands to select the items into the current selection set. This is useful for two reasons: One, geostar provides only 10 sets; and Two, the ten sets are numbered, not named. .
